PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

WARNING: the following post may offend some people. I would like to take this opportunity to come out & say I've got nothing against people with any kind of handicap/disability. I've got issues with people who use said impairment as a crux or for that matter feel the world owes them big time because they have some sort of disability. This letter is addressed not only to those people, but to every other self-entitled loser out there (whether disabled or not).

Dear blind guy who came into my place of employment today...

I don't know if you were having a bad day, or if you had only recently become blind due to an accident of some description, or perhaps you just hate Christmas (join the club) – however, that is no reason to act the way you did today – not only to myself but to all the members of staff... and I'd like to take a minute to clarify/elaborate/make you understand my words/motives that were completely honest and was definitely not a reason for you to automatically jump on your high horse & start pulling out your “blind” card.

1. When I said I'd have to check with the Manager to see where I could seat you. This was not a dig at you being handicapped (however temporary/permanent/serious). You may or may not have noticed that I said the same thing to the people in front of you, behind you and continued to do so throughout the entire day. It's my job to seat people. As it's so close to Christmas, many of our tables had been pre-booked & I needed to acquaint myself with which ones were available. I was not discriminating against you as you so accused me of doing.

2. When I mentioned that I couldn't seat you near the open kitchen due to your lovely canine companion. This was not me forbidding your entry into the establishment because you had a guide dog. This was merely a health & safety/food issue as it's an open kitchen & we don't want law suits because someone finds a bit of dog fur in their salad. I am well aware that it is against the law/frowned upon to refuse entry to someone with a guide dog – funnily enough I asked the question yesterday when a customer wanted to bring a dog into the restaurant (simply because she'd taken the pup for a walk & required sustenance before heading home). Had you stopped flapping your gums for one moment & listened to what I was saying you would have realized this was no cause for your self-entitled rant and would have let me seat you somewhere more suitable for everyone involved.

3. In regards to treating you differently because you have a disability... let me tell you, had my Manager not been in the vicinity at this point I would have called you every name under the sun & argued with you – as I would have done with any customer acting like a complete smacktard at my place of work. I don't give a damn if you have less than perfect vision/no vision at all.. act like a douche and I'm going to treat you like one. The anger in my system was so great, that had I not been thinking like a rational adult, I would have arranged for someone to spit in your food/drink – however, I am not an irrational idiot & have self-control when it comes to dealing with other human beings.

4. I don't know how many times in 2 minutes you want to say the phrases “don't discriminate against me” or “I'm blind” etc etc... but I don't care. I can SEE that you are blind and have a guide dog. I KNOW what I am allowed/not allowed to do. Frankly, I don't care if you happen to accidentally walk off a cliff – I'm more concerned about your adorable puppy than your feelings - after the way you chewed me out for no reason. It's a pub. It's Christmas time. It's going to be loud & busy.. and a lot of our regulars are coming in to enjoy themselves & can get a bit rowdy at times. I wanted to make sure you were in a comfortable spot, where your poor dog wasn't going to be trampled on, or have beer spilt on him which would have resulted in yet another one of your rants about equality or whatever and someone was going to throw a punch to shut you up. It may have ended up being me had you kept attacking each member of staff with the same crap... and if you'd started on the customers – oh boy, you do not want to even go there.

I've got no qualms saying this to you or anyone else who feels that society owes them something. Nothing to do with you having a disability. In my book, if you act like an idiot, you will get the same treatment. Pull your head in. Let me do my job and we'll get on just fine.

Obligatory TLDR - don't be a douche. Just because you're blind doesn't mean people are out to get you. You don't need to get offended at every little thing. Chill the F*** out! Sincerely, Everyone in Society.

What was that noise?

A foreign squeak noise startled me this evening as I was searching the internet for various Bunny blogs... Feeling concerned that the noise ACTUALLY came from some deep, disturbed place in me. I think I need to invest in a bunny ASAP!

WRONG WAY, GO BACK!?!?!

WARNING: The following post may contain some angst... (everything will be back to normal next post)

Ever feel you've missed a turn somewhere? I'm speaking metaphorically here - you shouldn't be reading/searching the internet while driving... if you do, I'm not going to be held responsible & you should feel lucky you've only missed a turn & not suddenly found yourself in the middle of a giant fireball.

I try to live my life to the fullest. No regrets and all that. Which is great & works 99% of the time. I try not to let anything get me down, try not to care too much about anything so as to avoid stress etc. You know - all that crap they teach you in kindergarten/kids shows. Believe in yourself... be positive... Trust your abilities.. blah blah blah.

My biggest inspiration for the "relentless positivity" method is Day9 (Sean Plott). He's a StarCraft player & does a daily show that looks at the different strategies in the game as well as giving some hilarious tales from his life. The one thing that really stuck with me was his positive attitude towards almost everything. It didn't mean he was always happy... but he didn't let emotions stand in his way. They are, after all, just chemicals... and sometimes they can be scary, but you just have to let them do their thing. It'll pass eventually, don't try to fight it, don't look too deep/overthink things, just ride the wave & it'll be over soon.

However, every now & again, I can't help but just go through a state of "did I miss something?" or "Where am I really heading?" It's not even a conscious thing. I'll just wake up feeling MEH and then an hour or so later the thought pops into my head. (Generally, this is when I'll sit down & watch the daily - or an old video of his.. just try to keep my mind off things. It helps.)

I don't regret one action I've ever made in my life. All decisions were made by myself & I was of sound mind when I made them - so I have no one to blame but myself.

Am I alone in this feeling?

Don't misunderstand this post. I'm not looking for sympathy, or attention. I'm not missing home. I am just getting my thoughts out there so as I can look back later & go - oh, look how far I've come. Putting it out there, so perhaps other people realise they aren't the only one going through it (??? I don't know)

I take a look at my life & can't help but compare it to my friends/family... stupid society ingraining that into us as children.

Some of my friends are married, or engaged, or have started families. They are the same age as me. I don't have any of these things. I'm sure many of them are progressing their careers, or buying a new house/car. Again.. I'm not really doing any of these.

Instead, I've spent the last few years of my life saving as much money as I can to get out of Australia. See the world. Learn about different cultures. Experience as much as I can before settling down... but no one knows for sure what the future holds. I may not ever settle down. I'll get to be the cool aunt who rocks up a few times a year with presents & crazy stories about my overseas adventures.

Perhaps I'll end up combining my love of travel with some sort of job (though I don't know how I would go about that)... to be fair I haven't really looked that hard into that side of things.

It's impossible to do EVERYTHING in life... and that bugs me.

Top 10 Animals I want as pets

I've had my fair share of pets over the years.

My parents enjoy telling anyone who will listen that my first pets were a pair of geese: Honky & Sambo, and a pair of goldfish: Fatty Fin & Mr. Fish. Not to mention the many cats & dogs that have passed through my house.

I do remember when I was ten giving my father specific instructions on how to care for my pet guinea pigs - down to how much feed they should be given daily. I was heading to school camp. He was probably thinking how ridiculous I was being.

The following is a list of the top ten animals (in no particular order) that I would like to have as pets...

10. Rabbit.
I have wanted a bunny rabbit since I was little. Mostly because they are fluffy. Perhaps part of it is also due to the illegality of having one as a pet where I live (they are considered a pest).

9. Crocodile/Alligator.
For no other reason then to scare the hell out of anyone who tries to break into my property.

8. Tiger
The above reason applies.

7. Honey Badger
Because the Honey Badger takes what it wants.

6. Thestral
Who doesn't like Harry Potter? Also, the are invisible unless you have seen death. Stealthy!

5. Unicorn
I hear drinking it's blood makes you immortal. Preferably a rare vermilion, Ukrainian unicorn.

4. Velociraptor
I'm a devout follower of Raptor Jesus.

3. Wookie
Honourable Mention. To confuse people as they sounds like a phone vibrating on table.

2. Charizard or any other Dragon-type creature
Not only are they convenient modes of transportation, but I think you'll find they will lower your heating bill.

1. A legion of bluebirds or chipmunks
I hear they like to give sponge baths & are great seamstresses.

There you go.
Complete list of animal I'm sure there would be more if I hadn't put the limit on the amount I could choose.

Honourable mentions include:
- Winged Monkeys
- Alexander Skarsgård
- A Whale.

What not to say to your childhood idol.

The day I met Tom Felton

The awkward tale from meeting one of my favourite actors in 2011 & what not to say when meeting your idol.
I'm so glad my family & best friends weren't there. I swear it was a conspiracy against me. If only I could blame intoxication.

Tom Felton

Better known for his role as Draco Malfoy

How am I expected to think clearly with him standing beside me?I recently had a once in a lifetime opportunity; a chance to meet Tom Felton.. and my mother would be the first to tell you I have been in love with him since I was about 6.

I was absolutely mortified the day I asked him if he liked bowling. I'd given myself a pep-talk for the past month so as not to embarrass myself. Long story short - I was at a convention with him and the camera equipment broke. While they were trying to fix it we stood there in an uncomfortable silence. I panicked.. The words were blurted out before I could stop them. I wanted to be witty and seductive.

My friend was the photographer & he was in hysterics. Tom was a good sport. After being seated in the front row for the Q&A by one of my other friends and having to look him in the eyes as he asked if there were any further questions - and then bailing.. I was so depressed that I didn't take the chance. Once we'd finally left the auditorium , he ran into me again. I got a quick hug and while everyone stared at us he told me that he did like bowling.

This just goes to show: I should not be left to my own devices with people I find attractive. I think he was just relieved I didn't ask him about Harry Potter.

More things you should not say to a celebrity or your idol (thankfully I haven't said any of these):

- I'm going to be visiting (current place they live) this weekend, can I have your number to crash at your place?
- What cup size are you/ is your mother/daughter?
- Boxers or briefs?
- Why don't you grow a moustache?
- Are you a scruncher or a folder?
- Can I have some of your hair for my collection?

YAY!!!

Welcome back Day9!

So I'm super excited. Day[9] is back! He's such a hottie! I don't mind putting that out on the internet. I would love to meet him & wouldn't hesitate to do weird, kinky things to/with him.

This Funday Monday is going to be amazing! Please excuse me while I nerd out everywhere.
I'm a closet nerd.
It's to be Zerg, use neural parasite on your opponent to build an army & use it to kill him. AMAZING!

I do understand that most people will have no idea what I am on about. The game is SC2 - Starcraft 2. If you don't know about it - seriously... give it a shot. It's not that bad! You could try the GSL or just pull up a Day[9] video. After a while, I can guarantee you will get something out of it. You may enjoy it, you may hate it.. but I can honestly say these guys are entertaining.

Queen of Blades

I've started planning for Dreamhack! I'm really excited for the LAN - it will be my first one... and it's the biggest in the world - I think. It's definitely up there anyway. Fast internet connection. E-Celebrities.

I'm hoping Artosis, Tasteless, Athene or Day[9] will be there. Such cuties.

Oh he's such a cutie! (This is an old photo)
Now I'm pretty sure I will make a fool out of myself.. if history is anything to go by it's almost a given that I'm going to make a fool out of myself.

You can check some matches out on GOMTV or day9.tv   or blip.tv/day9tv

There are some interesting stories in between games. Loads of in jokes which you can pick up fairly easily.

I should mention that SC2 is quite popular in Korea.

I'm typing this while watching the FUNDAY MONDAY... and I have to say I am so glad this is back. He is looking well-rested & definitely giving this video his all.

I can't wait to get back in to my YouTube channel & updating fairly frequently.
It's so much fun!

I will definitely link it when I get it up & running again.

Addicted?

Cats eye glasses. Newly purchased.
So I think I have an addiction. Scratch that, I'm pretty sure I have an addiction.

No, not to shoes like a typical girl would.

I realized today I own 5 pairs of sunglasses (1 of them is prescription).  At this very point in time, I know that if anyone walked over to my bag they would find 4 different pairs of sunnies in there - and the prescription pair wouldn't be one of them. (They live in my car).

I only realized this today... at the Abbey Museum Medieval Festival. It was raining & to keep the water out of my friend's eyes, I offered a pair of glasses and before I knew it I had pulled out 3 pairs of sunnies for her to choose from.

Before sunglasses, it was headbands (and still is some days).
I remember waking up from an evening of good food & great company strolling the night markets in the city, only to sit up in bed surrounded by at least 5 newly purchased headbands. Quite comical really. If my life were more along the lines of a teenage comedy - they would have rewritten them to be condom wrappers, pizza boxes, porno mags or empty alcohol bottles and I'd have a pounding headache.

Thankfully, my life doesn't resemble that aspect of Hollywood.

So the Medieval festival was pretty good. Tickets were approx. $25 for an adult. The only event you had to pay for inside was the jousting (which had unfortunately sold out first thing that morning)... but that was only $2 a seat. Not bad. Food was standard exhibition price.. and covered everything from mini Dutch pancakes, to flammkuchen (which is like a little woodfire pizza), hamburgers, stew & dumplings, lamb shanks etc.

Many people were dressed up in olde time wear, others were just happy to have a reason to cosplay - I saw many Naruto characters running around & even Etzio (Assassin's Creed).

Tried some spiced mead & even got to drink out of my mates "drinking horn". I wanted my own Last Drinks horn, but couldn't bring myself to buy it (especially after realizing how many sunglasses I own). I wanted the horn, a viking helmet or an Arctic Fox hat (white furry hat).. but alas... maybe next time.

Quite a few people there. Met up with some friends I haven't seen in about a year. Really glad I caught up with them before heading overseas. (Countdown update for those of you playing along at home: 2 months to go).

Also went for my Biometrics appointment yesterday (Friday). The guy was nice & it was really interesting to see the security side of things. Fingerprints were taken but no retina scan - DAMN!

So far a productive weekend & I still have one more day to go! YES! I love when that happens.

Modelling

Yes.. people want me to stand (or in this case sit) in front of a camera & have my photos taken... sometimes there's $$ involved.. other times it's discounts on haircuts/colors etc. Sometimes its TFP (time for prints)... either way, it happens & I enjoy it.

So here are some pictures from the latest hair shoot. (Pretty cool!) NOTE: They are mostly just me mucking around - the good ones were used on their website so can't use them here.

It's taken ages to get that color throughout my hair. It used to be BRIGHT RED!! Though if you look through other pictures that are on here (or may be uploaded at another time) you will see that I have also had a blue-purple color through my hair, I've had varying shades of red and also brown. I haven't had my hair dyed black & I am yet to have blonde professionally done. I think that will be on my list of things to do when I get back from overseas.

Rani did the color, cut, style... it's her little top hat & sequin jacket.. she also took the photos. My friend, Lexie, who also came along to have her hair cut took loads of photos too - mostly just me being ridiculous - if I can find them I'll upload them also.

Lucky for me Rani is also heading overseas - she leaves about a month before I do & she will be based in Scotland, however we have already agreed she will continue to do my hair & I am to stay with her one New Year's in Scotland.

I have offered my place for any time she feels like coming to London. Seems fair.

I think my friend Lexie was getting bored by the end of it - probably why she started going crazy with the photos. Definitely a little snap-happy there. I'll find them out later & put some terribly photos up.

I know who will be doing my hair for the Bloodlust Ball which is coming up very shortly. Though thinking about it, Rani may not even be in the country to do my hair.. jeez that's a downer. I'll have to confirm that.

For those interested I will find a link to the hair salon so you can check them out. They have won all kinds of awards & are reasonably priced. All the girls know what they are doing & are really friendly. Good salon atmosphere!

Rock of Ages

What a touching story...
Yes, you read correctly. This post is about the newly released movie "Rock of Ages" - based on the Broadway musical hit with the same name.

Some basics first:
1. Russell Brand is a hottie!
2. While I was aware this was a musical, it really didn't sink in until the first song (which was in the first 30secs of the film)
3. My dad looks a bit like Tom Cruise... so that was awkward.

The story is pretty straight forward. It's built around rock hits from the 80s - think more glam metal than rock metal. (No Metallica). The music was chosen to appeal to the biggest crowd possible - all those 80's hits that EVERYONE knows including: "We built this city", "Nothing but a good time"... plus others from Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Journey, Guns 'n' Roses... etc etc.

Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones & many other big names star in this film. Some of the voices are surprising, others less so.

My friends pretty much summed up the movie in one sentence. "It's a movie length episode of Glee" - obviously without the dramas of high school. Also I don't watch Glee so I wouldn't know how accurate this is.

I wouldn't go in expecting some stellar script-work - though there are a few zingers & hilarious jokes mixed in. It's a feel good movie, plain & simple.

So famous! Can't go anywhere without being recognized.

When Russell & Alec sing their song, I got all misty eyed (I am extremely embarrassed to say)... of course that could be because I was imaging myself standing in front of Russell while he crooned away. One day...

Other than that, the weekend was a success. Pretended to be Russian all Saturday night - managing to stay in character through a round of KINGS - very impressive.

It was actually a really quiet weekend. Though after the last few weekends definitely feels good to be able to just chill out with some mates.

UPDATE: There is less than 3mths until I head overseas. Visa application will be sent off this week & fingers crossed everything goes through speedily without a hitch. My hairdresser has assured me her visa application went through with no trouble - I should hope mine will be the same.

I will have to upload some of the modelling photos I have when I get some free time. You haven't missed much. Laptop is back & regular posts will resume again soon (on ALL blogs).

What did you think of the movie? Will you see it? Have you seen the Broadway version? Was it better/worse?

Quick update

Still alive! Laptop is just in the shop at the moment and my mouse for the desktop is packed somewhere.

This is a brief mobile upload... Just letting you know the posting will resume shortly.

Starcraft 2

I have decided I want to be the first foreign female to play in the GSL... Or perhaps to win the competition.

Now realistically I know this isn't going to happen. It's nice to dream though.

If, hypothetically, I did somehow make it to the GSL tournament, and had some semblance of skill, I would intentionally lose to one of the e-gamers I have watched over the years... including, but not limited to: MVP, Fruitdealer, Boxer, Marine King etc.

I'd be like "oh I know you, here's a free game. No don't worry about me, I'm happy to just chill in Seoul and watch you guys play. I don't need to win to complete the challenge I dictated to myself all those years ago."

I'm no good at gaming really. Super Mario, no problems. Crash bandicoot, cool. GTA, I can but I find it a little boring. Anything that requires a keyboard & mouse working together in harmony - it's not happening.

I've tried. I'm sure if I practised more it wouldn't be a problem. However, while the motivation is there, I just don't have enough time to sit & play hours of a video game.

I get my nerdy, gaming fix from youtube. Watching people play it for me. Which I think is worse than devoting your time to a video game - at least at the end of playing you can be like "YES! I did it" and have a feeling of accomplishment. Me... I don't get that with videos haha.

If I'm 100% honest, the only reason I want to win the GSL is to kiss the trophy like they all do (I assume they have to or is some cultural thing ???). It's my favourite part... so it only makes sense that I'd enjoy it when my time comes.

May is Birthday Month!

There are a few months during the year that are more birthday-heavy than others.

May is one such month.

Last weekend was the bar party. Half high-tea, half nightclub.. all fun! Marshmallow vodka with purple Vok liquor made great shooters. Vodka gummy bears were a success. Some ate them, some decorated their own cocktails with them. Tequila worms were a little too strong for some people, however everyone gave them a go.

Cakes & Sweet Treats by Miss Mia
My friend made the cake for last weekend (and also the one for this weekend). She is amazing when it comes to baking & fantastic, surprising cakes. This one in particular was a rainbow cake with meringue icing & multi-coloured fondant shapes.

SO GOOD!

This weekend was a chocolate mud cake with raspberry icing. So sugary! I haven't got a photo of that one yet though. Definitely a good match for the backyard, cruisy, BBQ-style birthday party. Very Australian.

If you are in Brisbane, Australia - check her out. She has a Facebook page & is branching out into wedding cakes as well. She made her own engagement cake & is now selling cupcakes.

Also this week was (on a less merry note) my step-grandmother's funeral.
Religion + Me = BAD IDEA!

I've got nothing against religion. You can believe what you want but don't go pushing your beliefs on me. I respect your opinions by not trying to convert you, please do the same to me.

It was awkward sitting in a church. I was expecting to burst into flames at any moment.

The one good thing about it was the jam & cream pikelets & scones! Definitely one of my favourite memories of growing up with super religious grandparents.

Health kick (or look how poor I actually am)

While saving for my venture into the unknown, I have come to realize that I am actually really poor. Don't get me wrong - I have money a plenty in a bank account that I am not allowed to touch.

Kids.. don't try to swim after a few vodkas.
So, as previously mentioned I am currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor at my mate's house. Which, if the vodka gummy bears & tequila gummy worms are any indication, has now transformed into a party house. We are also trying to create marshmallow vodka & skittles vodka. Haven't the supplies for those yet.

As my friend is allergic to a great deal of things, for the past few nights we've had stir-fry veges. Healthy. I am quite pleased with this choice, as I have neglected that side of things for a good number of years. This is also quite gentle when it comes to impact on my wallet.

I really enjoy cooking - I used to work in a restaurant - but I just haven't had the time/motivation to do so in a long while.

Feels good to actually be caring about what goes into my body again.

Will also be good when I have a nice, tidy sum of cash for my holiday & perhaps a more lean figure when the time comes to leave... definitely come in handy for any bar/pub/stripper/porn star work that I may end up in.

Gotta make ends meet somehow while I'm overseas.

Perfection

After yesterday's blog, I have decided to put my idea of perfection out into the open & maybe see what's going on in this pretty, little head of mine.

So my perfect guy:

I want him to be smart, well-traveled, cultured & have a tidy sum of money stashed away. Ideally he would be the top of his field (eg. owning an international multimillion dollar company).
           - Yes, I am that shallow that I want him to have money and have lived. I have no qualms saying that.
So MANLY!

I'd like him to be good looking. Here's where it gets a little more tricky. There are 2 options here:

1. Nordic.                        Like Mr Skarsgård here --->

A fair skinned, blonde, blue (or grey) eyed guy. Good body and a sexy accent is a MUST! What can I say I'm a shallow woman.

OR

2. Mediterranean. A well dressed, Italian gentleman with a fiery passion & a knowledge of how to do the TANGO! A man with rhythm is incredibly sexy.

Their accents are amazing also.

Things that are ACTUALLY the same no matter what they look like... accent, foreign, sexy body & a hot face.

Eye color for a Mediterranean guys is optional.

Please note: body hair is to be kept to a minimum. I'm not really a fan of a hairy chest, or a beard/moustache.

Unfortunately, Australians don't cut it for marriage material (at least for me). I know a lot of great Aussie guys who would be perfect for any other woman.

Now that doesn't mean I won't look twice at any other male who doesn't fall into one of these categories. Quite the opposite. You may be thinking "oh I don't have blonde hair & blue eyes, she's never going to pay any attention to me". Don't be so hard on yourself. Give it a go. You'd be surprised at the result.
This guy makes the cut.
I am currently trying to figure out a plan to entrap a good looking Asian rockstar for a nice tryst. I have a good idea of how to go about this but unfortunately his timetable is a little choppy & all over the place. *SIGH*

Anyone else have an idea of what their "perfect mate" would look like? Male/Female either way.

Also, please note that while this is the "PLAN" it doesn't mean that this will actually eventuate (much like my previous post)... but I have already mentioned I'm not going to be marrying for love. That ship has definitely sailed - so now I'm just picking up the pieces and making the best of what I've got.

According to my plan

I have a plan. Well, more accurately I had a plan.

It involved all the things young girls dream of: house, car, kids, a huge wedding, husband, shoes, money etc.

Not my car.

Looking at where I am in my life is quite depressing when I look at where I wanted to be at my age.

I haven't hit the "be married and have twins" point in my plan - that's a few years down the track - but it sure isn't going so well.

1. Yes I have a car and a job. That's a positive. Not everyone can say that. Great! What an ego booster... except for the fact that my car is banged up & will be going to my parents in a little under 4 months when I move. My job will also be either put on hold until my sabbatical is complete, or will be thrown into the wind without a backwards look. I'm putting my money on the latter. Simply because I can't stand working there any longer.

Not my husband... yet
2. Wedding, husband & kids. Well this is definitely not in my future. I don't want to be selfish and start a new relationship weeks before I am relocating for the better part of 2 years (at the very least). This entire idea to move came from the fact that I have decided I will never be able to marry for love. I'm a realist & I know that if I ever decide to get married it will be for social advancement & money. The kids won't come along until I have financial security (if ever!).

3. Money. There's never enough, and I already know I'm going to be living like a poor uni student, possibly as terrible as a crack addict for the next 2 years. Moving to one of the most expensive cities in the world will do that to you. Not to mention I don't know how I'm going to go job-wise. Without money - there can be no shoes or other luxuries.

I should probably mention that I have been sleeping on a mattress on my friend's floor for about a fortnight now (and it doesn't look particularly promising for the next few weeks).

I have to keep reminding myself that it will all be worth it & that I will have some amazing stories to tell my friends/family when I'm done - but being (technically) homeless is not exactly a walk in the park.

Gosh! It's only the 2nd post in & I'm put up an emo post already? *SHAME* Well, at least you are getting to know me a little bit better - that's a plus, I guess. I promise they won't all be like this.

Introductions

(Yet another thing for me to remember to update...)

It's that time/place on a blog where I have to introduce myself & express my likes/dislikes/wants/desires in life. *SIGH* I'm never any good at this.

So this is the 4th (?) blog I have going.. I'm a real social network butterfly. I'm trying to get my internet presence up so that when I finally move overseas in 4mths time, my friends & family will have a way to contact me & see what I get up to.

Where to start? I'm Australian - born & raised - and before you jump to conclusions about me looking like Miranda Kerr or Nicole Kidman, let me tell you - they've got nothing on me. HAHA! That's a lie. I don't have a tan and I can't surf. Glad we got that out of the way.

I'm a 23 year old girl who has caught the travel bug and, as previously mentioned, in 4 months I will be relocating from my little town on the surface of the sun to London, UK (Visa permitting).

I love learning about different cultures & trying my hand at other languages. I would love to study in a Swedish university (specific I know).

My ideal job (after actress, singer, astronaut, spy or cordon bleu chef) would be a translator/linguist. I would love to travel the world, meet new people & get paid to do it.

Previous travels include: several European countries & more recently China and Vanuatu.

I can play a variety of musical instruments and am a keen karaoke-er-er (?).

Many people feel that I am stuck up/snobby/egotistical. One of my favourite things someone has said to me is that "Flattery will get me everywhere, I only have to give you a compliment, stroke your ego just a little & you are putty in my hands". Unfortunately, we don't speak anymore. Such a shame really.

That's the basics I suppose. I may link to the other blogs later but for now this will have to do. I don't want to swamp you with too much reading on my first post.

Any questions? Ask them & I may surprise both of us with a reply.
